Water & Sanitation
Access to clean water and adequate sanitation is a basic human right and a cornerstone of public health and dignity. At ASM, we are committed to ensuring that every individual, regardless of their location or status, has access to safe drinking water and hygienic sanitation facilities. Our work spans from the rehabilitation of rural water systems to urban sanitation campaigns and menstrual hygiene awareness. We engage communities in water management, promote rainwater harvesting, and introduce affordable, sustainable technologies for sanitation. Women and children are disproportionately affected by water scarcity and poor sanitation, so we center their needs in our programs.
We also advocate for improved governance and accountability in the water sector to ensure transparency and sustainability. Beyond infrastructure, we focus on behavior change and education to foster hygienic practices and reduce waterborne diseases. Through holistic interventions, we aim to build healthy, resilient communities equipped to manage their water resources with dignity and care.
